About Kielder
Kielder is located close to the border between England and Scotland. It’s home to the biggest man-made lake in Northern Europe, and the largest working forest in England.
It takes just over an hour to get here from both Newcastle and Carlisle, and Edinburgh is two hours further north.
There are loads of activities with the region. You can visit Kielder Castle, visit the observatory for some late-night stargazing, hire a boat and head into Kielder Water, or spend miles walking or cycling in the beautiful countryside.
