Clear skies, dark nights, and wild Northumberland awaits

It’s a hidden gem, nestled in the heart of ancient woodland, sweeping moorland, surrounded by nature, with a silence that takes a little getting used to. This Park is properly off-the-beaten-track and we like it that way.

We’re within easy reach of Kielder Water, the largest man-made lake in Northern Europe, and surrounded by England’s biggest forest, and at night, darkest skies. Whether you’re here to stride out across the hills or just sit still and breathe for a bit, you’ve come to the right place.

Small on purpose

Clear Sky Lodge Park is a haven for nature lovers and those that enjoy the outdoors. It’s a peaceful and secluded setting with lots to offer, so whether you simply want to relax at the Park, explore Kielder, or wider Northumberland, there’s plenty of options to suit your stay. You can step out of the Park and enjoy nature trails from your gate or go further afield to discover more.

Great Northumberland, bordering Scotland

Northumberland National Park spans over 400 square miles. It is ‘one of the most serene and unspoilt national parks in the UK’. Across Northumberland there’s a unique blend of landscapes and places of interest to experience – beautiful countryside, stunning sandy beaches, world-class historic sites, medieval fortresses, and a scattering of pretty towns to wander. Day trips across the border offer even more. Explore galore.

Stay in, eat out.

The choice is yours. There’s no shortage of country pubs, cafes and bistros offering a range of cuisines to suit all tastes, so whether you want hearty pub grub or something a little lighter, you’ll find it in the region. The villages of Falstone, Bellingham and Otterburn are all worth a visit.

Some kind words

“Many people say their dream is to have a cabin in the woods and this lodge park is as close to nature as it gets.”

“What we craved was somewhere we could switch off completely, and this place delivers that in abundance. ”

Ready to come and see for yourself?

Whether you’re planning a long weekend escape or a proper week in the wild, we’d love to have you. Spaces are limited and we like it that way.

“Trek, mountain bike or just relax on the decking with a book, our lodge in Kielder is the place we love to be the most.”

Hello, we’re Jackie and Dave, and we welcome you to the place we fell completely in love with.

When we first set eyes on this little corner of Northumberland, tucked away in the ancient Ravenshill Forest, we knew it was somewhere special. So much so, we’ve made it our home – and a place others could enjoy too.

We’ve spent years lovingly shaping the Park into the retreat you see today. It isn’t just a holiday destination, it’s a proper escape. The kind of place where you arrive feeling frazzled, and leave feeling soothed.

At Clear Sky Lodge Park there’s time to slow down. It’s quiet, calm, and deliberately simple. There’s no clubhouse or entertainment, instead, a picturesque setting that is nature-led. And a unique opportunity for lodge owners to share this stunning space and enjoy a truly rural lifestyle.
